Inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy, "Nest" is an examination into the ephemeral relationship between the natural and built environment.

The sculpture was placed in the middle of a critical vehicular access point for staff of Lithgow High School, preventing them from entering the site grounds. The question - is convenience the greatest reason for destroying nature's most fragile artefacts?
